Henning Koppel
Henning Koppel (1918-1981) played a key role in the development of modern Danish design and was largely responsible for defining the classic Scandinavian mid-century style. Koppel is particularly noted for the effortless way in which his designs combine understated beauty with function. He considered himself an anti-functionalist and favoured soft fluid lines and organic forms over the prevailing industrial, functionalist aesthetic.
